About Author Anton D. Grantham
At the time of this biography, I’m 56 years old. Thus, I am tempted to write a very long biography. There is no need though, for I will save it for my books.
Nevertheless, I will start with the most productive years of my life beginning in my early 40’s. After being in the military for 5 ½ years, having more jobs than I can remember before getting married and finally staying with a job long term…12 years working for the State of North Carolina, I crossed over into a realm that few discover. That place is entrepreneurship. I quit my state government job in April of 2014 to pursue a vending machine business venture. Today I have more than 100 vending machines on location, and everything is looking up.
I am a businessman, business mentor and life coach. I am married to the greatest wife ever, with two amazing sons.
My career has led me to many discoveries. Things I would never have learned if I had not started a vending machine business. I would have never known that pellet dog food is made from pigs’ blood if I had not been in the vending machine business. Factories create some interesting and mysterious things.
More importantly, I’ve learned what’s in the hearts and minds of many in all those break rooms in businesses throughout Central North Carolina. I’ve learned what makes people get up every day to go to a job. I’ve learned their aspirations, challenges and disappointments.
Lastly, I’ve learned the saddest thing about humans…their unwillingness to be free. That is what inspires me to write. I write to remove the shackles in the form of complaints due to an inferior complex. I write to rub out all the excuses people have for not reaching their goals. I write because that is the only legal way to drive my finger into your chest and tell you to go fight, because freedom is not free!
